This update will feel a little different, we are trying to open up the paths more with more meaningful choices than before.
Right now, there’s only a very simple path available but with the new update that we will try to release soon we will add some more. There will be more back tracking if you want to find all the scenes.
New for android players: When you start the app it will ask you to allow or deny access to
your device files. If you allow it, it will create a Ren’py saves folder so that you don’t lose your
save file when you update the game from now on.
Please make sure to save before playing the new content, because not all paths have been implemented yet. We’re still working on them and try to release them at the end of this month!

- swipe down to hide the ui
- swipe left to roll back
- swipe right to start skipping of text
- swipe 2x left&right to open the game menu
- swipe up&down to toggle a small window with memory usage information
- longpress the save file thumbnail in the save/load screen to delete this slot
Now here’s the bad news: I don’t know exactly what I changed, but performance on android is pretty bad. I tried the last two days to find a fix, but I couldn’t figure it out for now.
So if you absolutely must play the android version, it’s there, but I don’t recommend playing it in its current state.
I will go over the code and tear it apart to find out what I’m doing wrong and what is causing so much lag.
There might be 2 reasons:
-my code is written poorly(most likely)
-renpy games with lots of pictures/animations lag in general.
Anyway, I’ll find out what’s wrong and will fix it.

- This mod adds an in-game walkthrough for every character and story event in the game The walkthrough menu contains dynamic guides that let you track your progress for each character and see the requirements needed to trigger their scenes and advance their story. Improvements:
- Improving the dialogue UI by changing textbox and font added character portraits can be disabled in mod settings
- Textbox transparency slider
- Setting “Text Speed” to “0” makes it instant text.
- Improved relationship setting (now when changing names in the option player will be asked to select displaying name or relationship so when the name pops up it will either say “relationship” or “Name” for Example “Landlady” or “Abby” will show instead of “Landlady (Abby)” (name and relations can be w/e the play wants) and play now can change what “Abby” refers to the lay as instead of the default “tenant”

Unzip the mod and put the folder named “game” from the mod into your “TheAwakening” folder and click ‘replace files'(if asked to).
